| Dr Busker is a phenomenon at steam rallies and other events. Several years ago he got his old accordeon out and in the corner of a steam rally beer tent started a sing song of doubtful ditties. Over the years this has expanded into a major show, filling the real ale tent at the Great Dorset Steam Fair to capacity ( and this is a HUGE tent ) with crowds aof adoring fans, each joining in the well known songs and savouring in the new efforts. Dr Busker is usually supported by a motley crew called the Dorset Rats, an untidy crowd of bearded men ( and women!) each carrying a tankard of ale. The tales of strange goings on in Australia, what happened to Maggie May's red flannel drawers, sea faring shanties about lobsters and a tribute to the Dorset flag are joined together with Irish jigs and ballads. However, be warned! Dr Busker CD's are not censored and contain words which may make people blush, or even take offence! Dr Busker CDs are £10 each, with £1-50 postage and packing! First of the CD's was recorded in 2002 at the Great Dorset Steam Fair. (ONLY A FEW LEFT!)   Dr Busker comes from Northamptonshire and his local event is the Rushden Cavalcade held in May. The problem with holding an event like this in May is that the weather may be unkind. So it proved in 2004, when torrential rain turned the site into a sea of sh..... mud!   Dr Busker's 40th birthday was a celebration second to none, which everyone who attended said should be done again. But how to top it? How about a piss up in a brewery? So on November 2006 we all congregated in Burton upon Trent to celebrate in big style!
